Fireworks: YouTube’s Best Displays

A video is the best way to get an accurate idea of how fireworks are going to look. Videos of fireworks show the whole life cycle of a firework, from launch to when it reaches its maximum height and bursts in a shower of effects, in a way that a photo never will.

2. 2021 New Year Fireworks, London

The London New Year fireworks cost a whopping £2 million each year. 2021 cost less than this due to the Covid-19 lockdown, but the fireworks were by no means less awesome, accompanied by a magnificent drone display.

3. 2020 New Year Fireworks, London

If we’re including the 2021 fireworks then we simply must have the 2020 New Year firework display on this list. This was the last London firework display before the pandemic hit, showing the event in full swing with hundreds of spectators on the Southbank.

4. 2021 New Year Fireworks, Dubai

Dubai’s fantastic fireworks display to welcome in 2021 came at a cost of £4 million, twice as much as the average cost of the London fireworks. This incredible display was fired from the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

5. The Biggest Firework in the World

This footage captures the largest firework ever fired in slow motion. The Guinness record is held by this 2,800-pound firework which was launched at the Winter Festival in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

6. China’s 70th Anniversary

In the heart of Bejing, this massive display that lights up the night sky was held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China.
