If you’re looking for a unique family day out or something a bit different to do with friends this summer, Sanford Hall Firework Championships should be on your list. This one-of-a-kind firework experience brings everyone together as the winner of the competition is decided by the votes of the spectators.
Stanford Hall Firework Championships combines beautiful countryside scenery (the Avon flowing gently by the grounds) and a stately home backdrop with stunning pyrotechnics. Bring a picnic with you or grab food and drink at the hall for an evening of easy-going fun.
The firework show takes place on the evening of Saturday the 6th of August. Each firework display lasts approximately 10 minutes.

The address of the Hall is Stanford Hall, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, LE17 6DH.
The hall is a 17-minute drive from the M1, exiting at junction 18, and a 10-minute drive from the A14, junction 1. It is a 35-minute drive from Birmingham International Airport.
Staff will direct drivers on where to park in the grounds on arrival.
Uber taxis cost around £18 from nearby Rugby or £36 from Northampton. Fees may be higher on the day due to demand.
The closest train station to Standford Hall is Rugby with multiple trains per hour between Birmingham, Coventry, and Northampton. The train journey to London Euston takes just 50 minutes on average and 40 minutes to Birmingham.
The L2 bus line will take passengers as close to Stanford Hall as possible, going between Daventry and Rugby. Passengers should exit the bus at Home Farm and make the nine-minute walk up Stanford Road, then make a right turn to the drive of the hall.

Stanford Hall Firework Championships 2021
Visitors to the hall will get to enjoy four amazing firework displays, each put on by professionals and choreographed perfectly to music. Three of the top firework companies in the UK will contend for the winning place, followed by a larger, grand finale display. Each display is made up of jaw-dropping category 4 fireworks, those used solely for professional displays.
Unlike any other firework contest in the UK, the Stanford Hall Firework Championships rely on votes cast by the spectators via SMS to determine the winner.
If you want to turn your day out into a weekend you can. Stanford Hall has 15 guest rooms that mean you don’t have to worry about packing up and sitting in traffic at the end of the day. It’s a good idea to book early if you do plan to stay as the Hall will be busier than normal on the day of the championships.
Little ones can enjoy a bouncy castle, fairground rides, games on the grounds to pass the time before the fireworks begin. There will also be music broadcast over the area to set the atmosphere.
Visitors can get hot and cold food and drinks from vendors on the grounds. There is a bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks. Visitors are also welcome to bring a picnic along with tables and chairs of their own. No barbeques are allowed on the grounds though, as these present a fire hazard.
