Explore more fountains, keep the show gentle with low-noise fireworks, or round off the evening with sparklers.
Tears of an Angel creates a sustained fountain of shimmering sparks, changing from silver to gold during its approximately 90-second performance. This cone-shaped Celtic firework keeps the interest in the rising spray and its changing colour, making it a lovely choice when you want to spend a little longer enjoying one effect.
Its low-noise rating makes it worth considering for a quieter display.

We would use Tears of an Angel to open a garden display, giving everyone a clear focal point before moving on to other fireworks. Alternatively, make it part of an evening built around quieter fountains, with time to appreciate each one separately.
The silver-to-gold palette would suit an anniversary or a wedding celebration with permission for outdoor fireworks. Arrange spectators so everyone can see the ground-based effect without moving closer or standing behind garden furniture. The eight-metre viewing requirement may suit gardens that cannot accommodate larger barrages, provided every other clearance on the label can also be met.
Choose a clear outdoor position with firm, level ground and at least eight metres between the fountain and spectators. Check the label for all other clearance requirements, including space above the effect.
Place the cone upright on its base and secure it as instructed so it cannot topple. Keep the outlet unobstructed, and prepare the fuse only as the packaging directs. Once your guests are at the viewing point, light at arm’s length with a suitable taper and move back promptly. Leave the fountain in place throughout its performance. Our guide to setting off fireworks includes advice on preparing fountains.
Keep children and pets away from the firing area. Never approach or relight a firework that appears to have stopped early. Read our guide to using fireworks safely at home before setting up.
